Ensino Fundamental na Prevenção Contra a Dengue: Ensinando e Conscientizando (2019)

- Abstract: The aim of this study was to raise awareness among the 5th grade students about Aedes aegypti mosquito-borne diseases and to make them preventive agents through playful, didactic and interdisciplinary guidance, education and re-education. For this, a methodology based. Meaningful Learning was used. The school chosen for the project application is located in a city of Paraíba Paulista Valley, which presents alarming data on the Dengue epidemic in 2019. Initially, there was a survey of students' prior knowledge, after having gone through several stages of the project. , which aimed to expand their knowledge, again underwent the test. In the overall result between the two evaluations there can be 50.5% increase in the correct questions, a 46% reduction in the incorrect questions and 4.5% reduction in the blank questions. Considering the results obtained it was possible to verify the effectiveness and success in achieving the objectives of this work. This was corroborated by the students' involvement in the activities performed and in the evaluation questions, since they demonstrated to have acquired effective knowledge when placed at the center of the teaching-learning process.
