- Abstract: This paper reports for the first time the results of using a social network specially developed for the education (Cuboz platform). The tools available on the platform are briefly reported. Basically, lecture videos, lists of exercises, chapters of textbook, and the instructions for the students were weekly posted on the platform. Several professors, many mentoring students, and some technicians are added together with students in the social network. This increases the number of more capable partners available in the platform. The students should follow the instructions, which includes watching the lecture videos, reading some parts of the textbook, and post some lists of exercises periodically. An individual written exam was applied. The grade performances of the students on the written exam were related to the time expended and the activities done in the social network platform. Preliminary results show that the students obtain better grading performances when they expend more time watching the posted videos and practicing with the lists of exercises.
