Lactic and butyric acids, isolated and associated, as alternatives to avilamycin on the immune response of broiler chickens to Newcastle disease (2018)

- Abstract: Objetivou-se avaliar os ácidos lático e butírico em alternativa à avilamicina como promotores de crescimento sobre a resposta imune de frangos de corte vacinados contra a doença de Newcastle. Foram utilizados 70 fran-gos de corte distribuídos num delineamento inteiramente casualizado, em esquema fatorial 2×2+1, sendo a presença ou a ausência de ácido lático e ácido butírico mais um tratamento-controle com inclusão de avilamicina, com sete repetições e duas aves por unidade experimental. As aves foram vacinadas contra Newcastle aos 14 dias de idade. Antes da vacinação (14 dias), aos 21 e 35, dias foram colhidas amostras de sangue para detectar e quantificar os anticorpos contra o vírus da doença de Newcastle. Aos 14 e 21, dias não houve efeito significativo dos tratamentos sobre os títulos de anticorpos. Aos 35 dias, a combinação dos ácidos lático e butírico apresentou efeito sinérgico sobre resposta imune das aves, proporcionando maior quantidade de títulos de anticorpos em comparação aos demais tratamentos. O efeito conjunto dos ácidos lático e butírico melhorou a resposta imune de frangos de corte vacinados contra a doença de Newcastle, aos 35 dias de idade, representando uma alternativa viável à avilamicina.
