- Abstract: Vários testes histoquímicos foram aplicados no epitélio de revestimento e glandular do estômago da Xenodon merremii. Após várias interpretações dos resultados, chegou-se as seguintes conclusões: a) Nas células epiteliais de revestimento, nas células das glândulas gástricas e nas células pilóricas, observa-se a presença de polissacarídeos neutros, arginina, tirosini cisteina, fosfatase ácida, AMOase e esterase. b) Além destas substâncias, nas células epiteliais de revestimento foi detectado também triptofano e nas células do corpo das glândulas gástricas, triptofano e RNA.
