- Abstract: Synthetizing esters through enzymatic catalysis is an alternative route to conventional chemical processes. The resultant products have a high purity degree and do not generate by-products (Khan and Rathod, 2015). In developing these bioprocesses, it is essential to determine the optimal operational conditions, defined by models capable of describing the kinetics and thermodynamics of the reaction (Silva et al., 2020). Thus, the present work evaluated temperature influence on the synthesis of butyl and octyl oleates (emollient esters) in a solvent-free medium. The catalysis used the commercial lipase of Candida antarctica (CALB) immobilized on magnetized poly (styrene-codivinylbenzene) particles (CALB-STY-DVB-M).
