- Abstract: The present work discusses the importance of merge Enterprise Asset Management Systems (EAM), Workflow Systems and Project Management methodologies in order to achieve success in project activities. It also presents the gaps between theory and practical in this field found in the field research developed in a large size brazilian chemical and petrochemical company. This paper attempts to contribute to this existing gap through a project management model developed in the studied organization in the area of project planning and control, presenting. The model allows a better utilization of material and human resources, so as automation of implementation activities, in order to assure information reliability and obtain the project status in real time to enable decision making
