Genotyping of Yersinia enterocolitica biotype 1A strains from clinical and nonclinical origins by pulsed-field gel electrophoresis (2014)

- Abstract: On considère que la plupart des souches de Yersinia enterocolitica biotype 1A(B1A) sont non pathogêses. Or, certaines études on fait germer l’idée que des souches de ce biotype seraient à l’origine d’infections chez l’humain et les animaux. En Amérique du Sud, aucune etude n’a compare les souches cliniques et non cliniques de B1A typées par PFGE, ni explore la possibilite d’utiliser certaines enzymes pour typer ces souches. La présente etude a type 51 souches de Y. enterocolitica biotype 1A isolées du Brésil et du Chili au moyen du PFGE, en mettant à l’essai les enzymes XbaI, NotI et XhoI. Les dendrogrammes ainsi obtenus ont su séparer les souches em 47, 40 et 49 pulsotypes générés par le clivage avec les enzymes XbaI, NotI et XhoI, respectivement. La maiorité des souches se sont regroupées sans à leur origine clinique ou non clinique. Le pouvoir élevé de discrimination du PFGE a confirme l’hétérogénéité des souches de B1A, mais n’a pu regrouper les souches selon la fréquence de certains gènes de virulence, ce que des études étaient parvenue à observer par d’autres approches expérimentales
