- Abstract: Os stents farmacológicos são dispositivos liberadores de fármacos, com relevantes níveis de eficácia na recuperação de doenças coronarianas, em relação às demais técnicas hoje utilizadas. Contudo, o risco de reestenose e a não biodegradabilidade dos stents farmacológicos ainda representam grandes desafios a ser vencidos pelas ciências médicas contemporâneas. O presente estudo tem por objetivo reunir informações disponíveis na literatura especializada sobre o efeito farmacológico de drogas liberadas a partir de stents vasculares de modo a evidenciar o potencial terapêutico deste dispositivo sobre as doenças coronarianas
