- Abstract: This work is a study of different methodologies for developing ontologies and an ontology is proposed to document the comics. It is made a bibliographic survey to define what are ontologies, in different areas of knowledge; then is made a comparison of ontology development methodologies, which are applied to Comics, respecting their type and characteristics, such as people and organizations that participate in the process of creating and publishing. Some free open source ontology development software were analyzed and compared. As a practical proposal, was outlined an ontology for the branch of Comics, using, for this, the acquired knowledge and tools with which they had contact during the course of work
