- Abstract: In this study we report the development of an intralagoonal anthropogenic delta, as a result of the intense colmatation of the Cananéia-Iguape lagoonal system, as a result of the opening of a channel, the Valo Grande, during the first half of the XIXth century. An integrated study, including analysis of coastline changes, bathymetric survey and analysis of sedimentary cores led to the reconnaissance of the development of the deltaic environment.
