- Abstract: Estudo radiográfico em 655 jovens de descendência européia e japonesa que demonstrou a ecorrência de raízes supernuméricas no primeiro molar permanente de 22,7% dos nisseis e 4,3% dos descendentes europeus, ocorrência bilateral em 50% dos casos, sendo a raiz suplementar mesial em 2,8% dos nisseis e 4,5% dos descendentes de europeus, e ainda, distalmente, está mesma raiz ocorreu em 3,2% em descendentes europeus e 17,8% nos nisseis.
