- Abstract: The global climate change is a complex problem, different stakeholders, several aspects to be considered, and yet the scale, from local to global and local to global. Developed and developing countries are the protagonists of this historical moment, and following a more shared and sustainable development requires commitment of all them. To face this challenge, a network strategy is a must. The network activities have the potential to turn interactions, cooperation and knowledge technology transfer much easier and faster. Therefore, favoring an interdisciplinary relationship among the stakeholders. Capacity building, research exchange, mobility and scientific cooperation are some concrete possibilities. So, this paper aims at bringing the role network approach can play applied to climate change problem. Bibliographical references will be used to present structural aspects and potential products of networks, and some examples will be discussed, as the Climate Change Knowledge Network(CCKN), coordinated by IISD \2013 International Institute for Sustainable Development \2013 Canada; the Climate Action Network Canada (CAN); The Network for Climate Action, UK; Climate Action Network Australia (CANA); Asian Cities Climate Change Resilience Network; Southwest Climate Change Network; The Urban Climate Change Research Network (UCCRN); Global Business Network (GBN). Among others. Eventually, a focus at urban environmental management will be the link for all this approach
