- Abstract: A posição taxonômica das espécies de Gastrotheca da Floresta Atlântica do leste e sudeste do Brasil é revisada. Cinco espécies são consideradas válidas: G. fissipes (Boulenger, 1888), G. microdiscus (Anderson, 1810), G. fulvorufa (Anderson, 1911)(revalidada), G. ernestoi Miranda-Ribeiro, 1920 (revalidada) e G. albolineata (Lutz & Lutz, 1939). Uma nova espécie, Gastrotheca pulchra sp. nov., é descrita do sul do Estado da Bahia e é prontamente distingüida de todas as outras espécies da Floresta Atlântica pelo tamanho pequeno (CRA 32,6-34,2mm em fêmeas, 27,7, 7-29,0mm em machos), ausencia de pele co-ossificada na cabeça, presença de um apêndice dérmico triangular na pálpebra superior e no calcanhar, pele lisa no dorso e padrão de colorido
