- Abstract: Le gène preg code une protéine de type cycline impliquée dans la dé-répression des nucléases et des phosphatases qui capturent le phosphate de lenvironnement. Afin de mieux comprendre le rôle régulateur du produit du gène preg, une DDRT-PCR (differential display reverse transcriptase- polymerase chain reaction) a été utilisée pour isoler les transcrits exprimés de façon différentielle chez la souche mutante preg POT. c de la moisissure Neurospora crassa cultivée en condition de privation en phosphate à pH 7,8. Deux transcrits dont lexpression différentielle a été confirmée par buvardage Northern étaient régulés négativement chez une souche de N. crassa portant une mutation de perte de fonction du gène preg (allèle preg POT. c). Ces transcrits correspondaient à des gènes codant des enzymes impliquées dans la voie de sauvegarde de la thymidine (iso-orotate décarboxylase) et de la biosynthèse de la coenzyme Q (ubiquinone C-méthyltransférase). Ces observations pourraient nous permettre de mieux comprendre les événements moléculaires impliqués de la perception du phosphore chez N. crassa
