- Abstract: The necessity to extend the knowledge regarding the geographic distribution of natural and artificial ecotopes of Triatominae has taken innumerable authors to develop some systems of traps.In 1997 Noireau et al. developed a sufficiently simple, practical and economic system of animal trap with bait.In the present note, we present some adaptations to the quoted model that confer greater resistance, durability, applicability in distinct ecotopes, such adaptations offergreater protection to the captured material and allow the use of different types of bait.In laboratory assay, the efficiency of this device was proven, as well as its utility in ecological studies has been indicate
