- Abstract: Sete lignanas isoladas do extrato hexânico das folhas de Zanthoxyllum naranjillo (Rutaceae) foram avaliadas para a atividade analgésica, utilizando-se o teste de contorção em camundongos. As substâncias (-)-pluviatilol-4'-O-'gama', 'gama'-dimetilalif 6ter; (-)-xantoxylol-4'-O-'gama','gama'-dimetilalil éter; (-)hinokinina; (-)-metilpluviatolido; (-)-hibalactona; (-)cubebina, e (-)-3,4-dimetoxi-3',4'-desmetilenedioxicubebina foram testadas. Dentre as substâncias testadas, os grupos de animais previamente tratados com 10 mg/kg de cubebina, exibiram a mais significativa redução no número de contorções
