- Abstract: Today, there are all over the world, about forty million people infected with HIV viruses, from all social classes, even man or woman. As a health professional, the dentistry needs to know the ill and knows how to act treating infected patients. It's known that a large part of dentistry avoid to treat these patients because of prejudice, fear or just not knowing the illness. The diagnostics is simple, and it can be done by a clinical exam and, after by lab exam. That's why, the dentistry needs to care about the information from anamnesis and the mouth manifestation associated to the ill as oral candidiasis, oral hairy leukoplakia, varicella Zoster, gingivitis, periodontitis, salivary gland, Necrotizing ulcerative gingivitis (NUG), papilloma virus, herpes, recurrent aphthous ulcers, and even to the Kaposi's sarcoma, that is a signal of a possible ill. The dentistry must be prepared to attend this patient avoiding the HIV ill and the hepatitis B.Respecting these rules, the infection risk is too low. Is also important that the dentistry knows how to deal in cases like this, treating or at least conducting to other health professional. According to the Odontology Federal Organization, everybody has the right of a treatment and, every dentistry, legally able to exercise the profession could realize an Odontology Procedure
