- Abstract: Evaluation of the accuracy of the new apex locator (Apex Finder AFA 7005 - Analytic Endodontics) was conducted on 92 roots in vivo. After accessing the pulp chamber and ascertaining the tooth length using the Apex Finder AFA unit, position of the file was confirmed by radiograph. The distance between the file tip and the end of the root was measured in the radiograph and compared with the electrical measurement. The result showed that the accuracy of this apex locator was 94.56%
